Our staff of PGA Professionals, led by John Pillar, Director of Golf, tailors lesson to each individual based on body type, athletic ability and natural tendencies to provide you with a game that is easily repeatable and enjoyable for years to come. John Pillar

John Pillar, is the PGA Director of Golf at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs since it's opening in 1992.  John manages the entire golf operation for the 450-acre residential community. John has made his number one responsibility to ensure the tradition of excellence at Woodoch and 100% Guest satisfaction. 

John is an Executive Board member and Vice President of the Philadelphia Section PGA and President of the Pocono Professional Golf Series.

Jared Cottell

Jared Cottell is in his 7th season as PGA Head Golf Professional at the Country Club at Woodloch Springs. His main responsibility is overseeing the day to day operations at the golf course and making sure every guest is 100% satisfied with their time at Woodloch Springs. Jared also was the first assistant golf professional at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA, Dellwood Country Club in New City, NY, and Arcola Country Club in Paramus, NJ. While employed at these facilities he worked his way through the PGA’s Education Program and was elected to Class “A” membership in March of 2004. While in the PGA of America’s PGM Program, Jared was awarded the prestigious Titleist/Foot Joy Apprentice Scholarship for outstanding achievement. Jared also is a 2000 graduate of Penn State University where he majored in Professional Golf Management.

Josh Deal

Josh is enjoying his 2nd season at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs.  Josh is the First Assistant Golf Professional and is responsible for daily operations, instruction, and will play a major role in Woodloch’s junior programs.  He is a Connecticut native and a proud graduate from the University of Connecticut.  Josh spent two years following graduation at the Professional Golfer’s Career College located in Hilton Head, South Carolina.  He attained a Professional Golf Management degree and was awarded apprenticeship to the PGA upon completion.  Prior to joining the Woodloch staff, Josh spent time as an assistant professional and instructor at various clubs around the southeast including the prestigious Manor Golf and Country Club located just outside Atlanta.
