Our Promise to You

The Woodloch Wellness Standard & Housekeeping

The Woodloch Wellness Standard is a symbol of the quality and care that goes into the Woodloch experience.  It ensures that along with safety and cleanliness, we promise to continue to provide our genuine warmth and very special brand of hospitality to each and every guest experience.

  • We have created a full-time safety department to oversee guest and staff safety, whose primary focus will be infection control and prevention
  • Public areas and high public touch points indoors and out will be vigorously and regularly sanitized
  • We will seek to invest in technology that will allow us to minimize the necessary amount of contact between guests and staff
  • We have bonded with our industry and are signees and followers of
  • We will meet or exceed all Pennsylvania and CDC cleaning and disinfecting guidelines for public space as well as guest accommodations

In Room Experience:

  • Rooms will be certified clean and sealed by our Housekeeping Safety Inspectors
  • There will be no daily in-room housekeeping
    • For essential services and maintenance issues, please contact the front desk to schedule a convenient time for servicing
  • You will have the option of a contactless exchange of room amenities, linens, and sundries that are typically provided in rooms
    • Many optional items, including in room coffee makers, extra pillows, decorative blankets, etc… will be removed from guest rooms to reduce the risk of contamination
    • You will be asked to leave your trash and linens in the hallway for proper disposal
  • Woodloch maintains a staff of emergency medical technicians on our property with acute care for minor injuries and illness available 24 hours a day
  • Woodloch will continue to be a positive force in the local community and will actively seek out opportunities to give back to healthcare workers, essential workers, first responders and others affected in our community

Hiking and Nature Trails

Woodloch’s 1,500 acres provides ample green space for our guests to enjoy the expansive and fresh outdoors.  We have 3 on property walking trails.

  • The Woodloch Nature Trail: A 1-mile paved loop in the heart of the property.  This is a beginner trail.  
  • The Tower Hiking Trail: A 3-mile natural trail that begins at the end of the Woodloch Nature Trail. This is a beginner to moderate trail that is mostly flat. 
  • The Springs Trail: Beginning from The Market at Woodloch, this 5-mile hiking trail blazes through the deep Woods of NEPA.  This is a moderate trail with varying inclines and descents.

Amenities

The amenities at Woodloch are an integral element to a Woodloch stay.  While the experiences of most of our amenities are individualistic in nature, some of the equipment is shared, here’s what you can expect:

  • Some amenities will require pre-registration, which can be done through the Woodloch App.  
  • Some amenities and equipment may need to be signed out, our amenities desk located at the Skate Shop and Beach will be able to assist.

  • In the event that weather makes outdoor events impossible, we’ll keep you entertained and engaged through additional in-room activities for your family to enjoy.

Events, Games, and Entertainment

One of the elements of what makes the Woodloch experience so special are our group events.  Woodloch owns the playbook on fun, but we’ll need to make some adjustments.

  • Outdoor Evening Entertainment
    • A large screen, or outdoor stage will be set up to allow for social distancing.  
    • You may be encouraged to bring your own seat; lawn chairs and blankets will be allowed, so long as you’re mindful of the party next to you and respect social distancing guidelines.

  • Silent DJ /
    • Our outdoor DJs will be pumping the music across the resort allowing you to bump along from your room, balcony, outdoors in a socially distant manner, but of course with your party.
  • Cupcake Wars* /
    • The Cupcake Kit will be your ticket to build your masterpiece.  Entry submissions will take place on social media and hand in your completed kit and judging will be broadcast on our in-room TVs!
  • Olympics*
    • 6 brand new active events that the whole family can participate in, no athleticism required.  You and your party will race against the clock.
  • Decades Field Day Games*
    • 6 different family field events celebrating and honoring iconic moments through the decades.  
  • Minute To Win It* /
    • In these 6 zany games featuring only simple everyday household items, you’ll compete in these challenges with your team.    
  • Boat Building*
    • With only a few simple items, some cardboard, and duct tape, your party will need to construct a boat – and hope it floats!
  • Scavenger Hunt* /
    • Your party will be on its own in this property-wide search.  You’ll be given a scavenger hunt kit to get started and within your time frame you’ll need to complete the kit and return to base.  Good luck racers!
  • Family Game Contests
    • Earn Woodloch medals in curling, bowling, bag-o, and more.
  • Kids’ Club Program
    • Program for children up to 10 divided into Cubs: aged 6 and under; and Scouts: aged 7-10. Featuring arts and crafts, modified sports competitions, story time, and more.
  • Hot Shot Sports* 
    • Gym style games, most points win and/or a race against the clock
  • Trivia Competitions /
    • Cash Cab, Jeopardy, Name That Tune, Smarter Than a 5th Grader, That’s Entertainment, You Think You Know Music,  and more

Pools and Lake

LAKESIDE

  • The lakefront will be open and available for our guests.  Lawn chair will be spread out to adhere to social distancing guidelines
  • The Beach and Pool bars will be open and available for food and cocktail take out
    • Amenities:
      • Paddle Boats, Kayaks, Row Boats, Stand Up Paddle Boards will all be available.  There will be a “RETURN” side and a “CLEAN” side to allow for appropriate sanitizing.  Unfortunately, sailboats will not be available at this time. 
      • Lakefront water slide will be available
    • Beach Amenities Desk:
      • Boats, bocce balls, mini golf equipment, pool towels etc… may be borrowed and enjoyed but are required to be signed out before each use.  Upon return, all equipment will be properly cleaned for the next use.
    • Boat tours will be available with capacity modifications.  You can register for this event through the App, once available.
        

POOLSIDE

  • The pools are open!
  • The indoor pools at Woodloch Pines and Woodloch Spring, indoor splash zone, indoor water slide, hot tubs, and locker rooms will be open with some capacity modifications

Dining Experience

Family mealtime is a vital part of the Woodloch experience and we will ensure that the warmth and connectivity of a Woodloch meal will remain; though we may have to make a few concessions.  Here’s what you can expect from your Woodloch dining experience:

  • Under the current PA “Yellow” Phase, indoor and service dining is not availableAll meals will be served as take-out only.  Until state regulations allow for indoor dining, no food may be consumed in the area from which it was distributed.
    • To accommodate diners, tables will be available in non-service outdoor spaces and other areas on property.  These spaces will be patrolled and regularly sanitized between use.
    • For Breakfast and Dinner on the meal plan orders will be placed through a call center 
    • For American plan guests, to-go breakfast will be served between 8:00am and 10:30am and to-go dinner will be served between 5:30pm and 8:30pm from the Main Dining Room at Woodloch Pines
    • For those not on a meal plan and staying at Woodloch Springs, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available at our a la carte locations listed below
  • A la carte dining and cocktail options
    • The Grille Room and Overlook at Woodloch Springs providing a full a la carte to-go menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with hand crafted cocktails (570-685-8131 / menu)
    • The Pool and Beach Bar
    • The Country Store at The Inn 
    • NEW – Fresh made pizza from the Inn
    • Gigis Coffee House 
    • The Market at Woodloch
  • At the Bar
    • To reduce contact between bar staff and guests, all guests who will be consuming alcohol will have ID’s checked with the first alcoholic beverage purchase of the day. Guests will then be given a bracelet to indicate that they are of legal age to use for the remainder of the day
  • Complimentary coffee service will be available
  • Bakery items will be able to be ordered through the dining call center and made available on the day of your departure to be picked up from the main dining room

Checking In/Out & Your Room

  • For Check In
    • Upon arrival temperatures will be taken of your traveling party curbside
    • One person from your party will be allowed to enter the main office to register your group
    • If your room is not ready, you will be contacted when it is and keys will be delivered or available for pickup from the satellite concierge desk
  • There will be no daily in-room housekeeping
    • For essential services and maintenance issues, please contact the front desk to schedule a convenient time for servicing
  • Guests will have the option of a contactless exchange of room amenities, linens, and sundries that are typically provided in rooms
    • Many optional items, including in room coffee makers, extra pillows, decorative blankets, etc… will be removed from guest rooms to reduce the risk of contamination
    • You will be asked to leave your trash and linens in the hallway for proper disposal
  • For Check Out
    • If preferred, you will be able to check out by phone  
    • We ask that you call the front desk when vacating your room to help us begin the housekeeping process

Golf

  • Tee times are required and will depart every 15 minutes
  • Carts are available on a 1 person (plus family member) per cart basis

SPA

  • At this time in the PA “Yellow” Phase, spa treatments and services will not be available.  Please visit The Lodge at Woodloch for their full explanation of procedures for guests.

Our Staff

The personalities at Woodloch are what make Woodloch, Woodloch.  Those of you who have stayed with us know that we like to shake hands and we give hugs.  Some of that familiarity will have to happen at a distance.  The health and safety of our Woodloch family is our utmost priority and we will ensure their well being is cared for.  Here’s what you can expect for our team:

  • Approved PPE will be given to all staff members
  • All staff members will be required to wear masks while on property, indoors and out.  
  • Staff will be required to have their temperature taken upon arrival to work each shift.
  • Contact tracing measures have been implemented in the unlikely event of exposure for our staff and our guests protection.
  • Weekly meetings will be attended by all staff administered by the safety department to include symptom recognition, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, proper hand and personal hygiene as well as protocol change guidance. 
  • All food and beverage employees will follow serv-safe guidelines.

General Information

  • Please wear your mask when interacting with those other than your party
  • We will display appropriate signage throughout the resort to keep you informed of guidelines, changes, and reminders.
  • Woodloch Pines shuttles will be available at a reduced capacity and will receive hourly disinfection.  We ask that you enjoy the beauty of our property and walk when you can, allowing our friends who need the shuttles most to have them at their disposal.
  • Babysitting services will not be available until we get better guidance on operations.
  • Prior to arrival, you will be asked to read and sign a Covid-19 waiver that will be included in their pre arrival or confirmation email making note if anyone in the traveling party has expressed any Covid-19 symptoms within the past 72 hours.

Our Cancellation Policy

Your vacation is safe with us.  We understand in these uncertain times that we all need to be a little flexible and creative.  We know you’ve been planning your Woodloch getaway and we both don’t want you to lose that joy, so we’re here to work with you. In light of recent events surrounding COVID19, we have amended our cancellation policy for stays through September 6, 2020.

  • Your deposit is refundable upon receipt of cancellation fourteen (14) days prior to your arrival date, less a $25 administrative fee.  If your cancellation is received less than fourteen days in advance, we will hold your deposit for a future reservation, which must be made within two years.  Cancellation with less than five (5) days notice will result in forfeiture of deposit.  In the event of a no-show, late arrival, or early departure you are responsible for the full value of the stay.
