MEET THE PROS

Greg Moon

Director of Instruction at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs

Greg Moon comes to The Country Club at Woodloch Springs, via Scottsdale Arizona, by way of Anchorage Alaska and has been a Teaching Professional for the past 31 years. He started his teaching career with John Jacobs Golf Schools, where he taught throughout the lower 48.

Greg then brought his talents to some of the premier resort golf facilities in Arizona, such as SunRidge Canyon Golf Club and the Sanctuary Golf Club. From 2006-20011, Greg taught all levels of players (+ handicap/ collegians/ weekend warriors) at Chelsea Piers Golf Academy in Manhattan, From 2012 to 2014. He worked with Mitchell Spearman at the Doral Arrowwood Golf Club in Purchase, NY, and for the past 6 years, was Teaching Professional at Turtle Cove Golf Academy.

Greg began his golf game obsession at the age of 6 in Southern California; then he moved to Alaska where hockey became his thing. “It wasn’t ‘cool’ to play golf when I was young and there were a lot more ice rinks than golf courses.” But he secretly continued to develop a love for the game in the hockey off-season. He was Medalist at his PGA Player Ability Test (PAT) and competed in numerous professional events in Alaska and Arizona.

He has been guided by many of the top teaching professionals of our times. Greg has worked alongside Donald Crawley, Jim Flick, Hank Haney, Mitchell Spearman and 2006 National PGA Teacher of the Year, Bill Forrest, as well as some of the “lesser knowns” that have developed and shaped Greg’s teaching philosophy.

Greg brings a vast wealth of knowledge and professionalism that he looks forward to sharing with his students. From teaching the “first timer” to the accomplished player, Greg believes that the golf swing should not be so complicated and delivers his instruction using a unique, easy-to-understand approach. “I am always on the quest to better myself, for the benefit of my students.”

John Pillar, is the PGA Director of Golf at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs since it’s opening in 1992. John manages the entire golf operation for the 450-acre residential community. John has made his number one responsibility to ensure the tradition of excellence at Woodoch and 100% Guest satisfaction.

Kyle Tasselmyer, PGA

PGA Head Golf Professional at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs

Born and raised in locally in the town of Honesdale. Upon graduating High School, Kyle made the effort to pursue golf as his career. Kyle graduated in August of 2013 from the Professional Golf Management program at Penn State University.

Kyle Tasselmyer is the Head Golf Professional at The Country Club at Woodloch Springs. Born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania in the town of Honesdale. Upon graduating Honesdale High School in 2008 Kyle made the effort to pursue golf as his career. Besides teaching, playing, and growing the game of golf Kyle also enjoys to hunt, fish, and any other outdoor activity from hiking to skiing.
