A character at one of the spooky Poconos happenings.

One thing you never have to worry about on a Woodloch vacation is becoming bored. Our Poconos resort features over 30 daily activities geared toward all ages and interests. However, the fun you can have at our resort doesn’t stop there! There are also plenty of memorable happenings taking place at Woodloch and the surrounding Poconos area. Keep reading to learn about on-site events and festivals.

Seasonal Events at Our Poconos Resort

Throughout the year, our resort in Pennsylvania is known for adding a number of events to our already jampacked lineup of activities.

During the Halloween season, our woods are taken over by a creepy cast of characters during Haunted Walks. Year after year, the event features new scares and tricks. This event is not recommended for kids under 10.

Another popular seasonal event is the Festival of Lights, which runs from Thanksgiving through New Year. Bundle up and enjoy over a half mile of holiday displays via a wagon ride along our Nature Trail.

To discover even more events, check out the tentative schedules for the year.

Things to Do Off-Site

It’s not just our resort that gets into seasonal fun. The surrounding Poconos area is home to charming communities and towns known for hosting their own events and festivals throughout the year.

  • Watch a colorful fireworks display in July with Honesdale’s Firework Display. Get to Central Park early to grab a prime viewing spot of the show set off from Irving Cliff.
  • Hawley goes all out for the Hawley Harvest Hoedown in October. Enjoy a weekend filled with live music, local craft and artist vendors, hayrides, and delicious food.
  • Celebrate fall in downtown Honesdale during Harvest & Heritage Day. The one-day event in October includes hayrides and a pumpkin painting station.
  • Kick off the holiday season with the Winter Wonderland Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting. Taking place at the end of November on Honesdale’s Maine Street, there’s no shortage of festive fun.
  • Hawley Winterfest is a great time to go gift shopping. Shop holiday deals, enjoy live music or horse and carriage rides, and take in all the glowing holiday lights.
